During the semester, I shall post course material and students will comment on it. Students are also free to comment on any aspect of media politics, either current or historical. There are only two major limitations: no coarse language, and no derogatory comments about people at the Claremont Colleges.

Disney & The Los Angeles Times
After this article was published in the Los Angeles Times investigating Disney's political influence in Anaheim, the corporation banned the news outlet from all press screenings of new movies. A film critic from the Washington Post wrote an article in solidarity with the Los Angeles Times and boycotted all new Disney films. Finally, today (Nov 8) Disney has lifted the ban.
Disney's statement to The Verge was: "productive discussions with the newly installed leadership at The Los Angeles Times" is the reason for the lift on the ban.
