A nice example of where parody/comedy mixes with real journalism.
During the semester, I shall post course material and students will comment on it. Students are also free to comment on any aspect of media politics, either current or historical. There are only two major limitations: no coarse language, and no derogatory comments about people at the Claremont Colleges.

Onion Parody Featured as fact in New York Times Article
Apparently, the New York Times referenced a magazine with President Obama on the cover as fact that the Onion released as a parody. The New York Times issued a correction on Sunday to the error. Yahoo News picked up on the story and featured it in its scroller today. The Yahoo article also references James O'Keefe, who we discussed in class.
