During the semester, I shall post course material and students will comment on it. Students are also free to comment on any aspect of media politics, either current or historical. There are only two major limitations: no coarse language, and no derogatory comments about people at the Claremont Colleges.

The Psychology of Fake News
Here is an interesting article that discusses the psychology behind how fake news spreads. For instance, even articles spread jokingly by friends can start to feel real, simply due to the number of times we've seen a given headline. So, note to self, don't send around absurd articles because doing so may cause unforeseen damage!
